San Marcos High School Band (SMHS) and Boosters invite community members to a free live music event, 5:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday, March 9 at Draughtsmen Aleworks Mosaic Locale, 1131 State St., Santa Barbara.

Highlighting the family-friendly program will be music from the 1980s band Joystix, a performance by SMHS Jazz Ensemble, food from Elubia’s Kitchen, a bake sale, silent auction, and raffle.

The SMHS Band, which performs throughout Southern California, has a rigorous – and expensive – travel schedule. All proceeds from the music event will support the San Marcos High School Band and help to defray the competition costs.

In addition, a portion of the funds raised will go towards SMHS Jazz Ensemble as they perform at the Heritage Jazz Festival in Chicago in April.
