Two people were injured Saturday in a collision on Las Positas Road in Santa Barbara, according to the Santa Barbara City Fire Department.

The crash occurred at about 8:40 a.m. on Las Positas Road at Las Positas Place, said fire Capt. Josh Brousseau.

A sedan pulling out of Las Positas Place collided with a car that was headed south on Las Positas Road, Brousseau told Noozhawk, and one vehicle ended up on its roof.

The driver of the overturned vehicle suffered minor to moderate injuries, and was taken by AMR ambulance to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, Brousseau said.

The other driver sustained minor injuries, and was taken to the hospital by family members, he added.

The patients’ names and details on their conditions were not available.

Las Positas Road was shut down for a time after the crash between Modoc Road and Veronica Springs Road.

The collision was under investigation by the Santa Barbara Police Department.
