Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to a vegetation fire along Foxen Canyon Road Thursday morning after neighbors called 9-1-1 to report the flames.

Capt. Scott Safechuck said the fire burned about 2 acres on the 8300 block of Foxen Canyon Road in the Santa Ynez Valley. Crews were able to contain the blaze at 9:49 a.m.

Safechuck confirmed that no one was injured in the fire and no structures were damaged. The fire was contained entirely to grass.

He said the cause of the fire was still under investigation.

As of now, Foxen Canyon Road is open to through traffic.
