Three people were injured, one critically, in a collision Saturday night on Highway 154 in the Santa Ynez Valley, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at about 8 p.m. in the westbound lanes near Paradise Road, the California Highway Patrol reported.
A woman with major injuries was airlifted by Calstar medical helicopter to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, a Fire Department spokesperson said.
A man with moderate injuries and another with minor injuries were transported to the hospital by AMR ambulance.
The names of the injured and details on their conditions were not available Saturday night.
Patients from both vehicles required extrication from the wreckage, the spokesperson said.
One of the vehicles involved reportedly was driving recklessly prior to the crash, according to the CHP.
Highway 154 was closed for more than an hour after the collision, which was under investigation by the CHP.
