Congressman Salud Carbajal visited the Montecito Sanitary District recently to look at critical infrastructure and environmental initiatives aimed at strengthening community resilience, enhancing water quality, and supporting sustainable growth.

The visit provided an opportunity for Carbajal and Montecito Sanitary District officials to discuss key projects and priorities that align with the district’s goals and the needs of the surrounding community.
During the visit, Carbajal toured Montecito’s wastewater treatment facilities and reviewed innovative measures in place to protect local water resources.
Montecito Sanitary District staff provided an overview of the district’s ongoing projects, including upgrades to existing infrastructure; advancements in water reuse and conservation; and initiatives to mitigate the impact of climate change on local resources.
