Two motorists were extricated from their vehicles after a crash shutdown two Santa Barbara streets late Friday night.
A gray Toyota Camry and a black Chevy Suburban collided just after 11:30 p.m., according to Santa Barbara City Fire Department Battalion Chief Cory Cloud,
The crash occurred at the intersection of Carrillo and Santa Barbara streets.
Two people were taken by AMR ambulance to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital after the collision, Cloud said.
Their names and details on their conditions were not available.
“It is hard to determine what direction people were traveling because vehicles get turned around,” Cloud said.
The two streets were closed down in the area between about 12:30 and 3:30 a.m.
The crash remained under investigation by the Santa Barbara Police Department.
