TBF’s executive director Brittany Avila Wazay accepted the check for the Santa Barbara-based organization that serves Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Ventura counties.

Founded in 2002, TBF provides emotional support and financial assistance to families that have a child with cancer.

Cruzin’ for Life Board president Karen Lewis and board members attended the presentation at the Santa Maria branch of Montecito Bank & Trust.

Two annual Cruzin’ for Life events raise money for cancer patients, including a Crab Fest in February and the autumn car show, dinner and auction. The $42,000 donation to TBF is the proceeds from their recent dinner and auction.

“We were thrilled to raise this much money for such a worthy cause. We know the devastation that cancer can wreak on families and we want to help,” said Marjorie Maupin, board vice president.
