City of Lompoc Transit (COLT) is hosting a virtual workshop to gather public comments on its proposed Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for federal fiscal years (FFY) 2025-27.

The workshop will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8. The format is Virtual via Microsoft Teams – meeting ID: 270 993 337 889, passcode: CK6Yt2D3.

The DBE goal is a federally mandated requirement that aims to increase business opportunities for disadvantaged businesses in federally-funded transportation projects.

By setting a DBE goal, Lompoc Transit demonstrates its commitment to diversity and inclusion in its contracting practices.

Comments and recommendations from the community is key to the development of th DBE goal. The public is urged to participate in the virtual workshop to learn more about the proposed goal and share thoughts and suggestions.
