Community members can learn about comment on Phase One of the Stow Grove Park Master Plan at the Goleta’s Parks and Recreation Commission meeting, 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8 at City Council Chambers, 130 Cremona Drive.
Those interested can also participate via Zoom, or watch live on Goleta TV Channel 19 or on the city’s website.
The commission will be receiving a presentation on options for the city’s first Universal Playground and new restroom location for Stow Grove Park.
The Parks and Recreation Division hosted a community workshop on Dec. 14 to gather public comments on these topics. The Jan. 8 meeting is an additional opportunity for the community to give feedback.
All comments provided by the commission and members of the public will be added to the information received at the Dec. 14 workshop and carried forward to the project team.
Both the Universal Playground and family restroom will be constructed in Phase One of the Master Plan process to begin in the fall of 2025.
The City Council adopted the Stow Grove Park Master Plan to renovate the nearly 100-year-old park facility in December 2023.
