A Falcon 9 rocket’s scheduled liftoff from Vandenberg Space Force Base on Saturday has been delayed at least day. 

The team will now aim for launch from Space Launch Complex-4 at 7:35 a.m. Sunday, with backup opportunities available until 11:14 a.m.

SpaceX did not explain the reason for postponing what will be third launch from Vandenberg since Jan. 1.

If needed, additional launch opportunities are available starting at 7:13 a.m. Monday.

Launches near sunset and sunrise can be especially picturesque if skies are clear.

The mission involves placing 27 Starlink satellites into orbit to continue expanding the constellation to provide internet access across the globe, including in areas where land-based access remains unreliable or unavailable.

After finishing its job, the first-stage booster will attempt to land on the Of  Course I Still Love You droneship positioned in the Pacific Ocean.

SpaceX said “residents of and visitors to Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties may hear one or more sonic booms during the launch, but what residents experience will depend on weather and other conditions.”
