Dos Pueblos boys lacrosse shook off a slow start and pulled away for a 19-10 win over Palisades Charter on Saturday at Scott O’Leary Stadium.

“We’re just so glad Pali were able to come up and play lacrosse,” Chargers head coach Lucas Martinez said. “With everything else going on, I hope it was a bit of a mental break and a fun time.”

The two teams were tied at 2-2 after the opening quarter, but Dos Pueblos erupted for seven goals in the second to build a 9-3 lead at halftime.

Palisades scored five unanswered goals in the third quarter to inch closer, but the Chargers buckled down and scored six times in the fourth to earn the 19-10 win.

The trio of Orion Prewarski (5 goals), Jack Finneran (4 goals, 4 assists) and Dan Finneran (4 goals, 3 assists) were in the middle of the offensive action all game for Dos Pueblos.

Cal Denier sparked many of those goals for the Chargers, going an impressive 29-for-31 on faceoffs. Meanwhile, Parker Bentley and Chase Carlson each scored twice in the victory.

Dos Pueblos (3-0) will host Saugus for another non-league matchup on Monday at 6 p.m.
