The first spring weekend of the year will be a warm one.
Santa Barbara County temperatures are expected to be in the 70s this weekend and may hit the 80s on Monday, which is likely to be unseasonably warm, according to the National Weather Service.
The weather will get warmer over the weekend with temperatures peaking Monday before starting to drop again on Tuesday, the NWS said.
The Santa Barbara area is forecast to hit 80 degrees on Monday, the Santa Ynez Valley could hit 89, the Lompoc Valley could hit 78 and the Santa Maria Valley could hit 81, forecasters said Friday afternoon.
Gusty sundowner winds are forecast in southern Santa Barbara County on Friday night and Saturday night, the NWS said. A small craft advisory was in effect through 9 p.m. Friday.
