San Marcos girls lacrosse flexed its muscles on both ends of the field en route to a 16-0 victory over Nordhoff on Thursday.
With the win, the Royals remained undefeated in Channel League play at 6-0. They stand alone in first place.
It was a balanced attack for San Marcos, as 12 players found the back of the net and all 16 goals were assisted.
“We mixed up our lineups throughout the game and this is the most consistent mix of players we have done so far this year,” San Marcos head coach Paul Ramsey. “We had good connections in our offense no matter who we had in the game for us.”
Liv Plourde led all scores with three goals and two assists while Victoria Aldana tallied two goals and three assists of her own.
Goalies Briar Sorenson and Carly Grant combined for the shutout with two and four saves, respectively.
The Royals will take on Cate on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in Carpinteria.
