The Santa Barbara Soccer Club Boys 2006 White team captured the SoCal State Cup over the weekend in Norco.
SBSC earned first place in the Super Cup Division after going 5-1 in the tournament and defeating FC Man United B2007 White in the championship game, 3-1.
Before the title matchup, SBSC defeated California Football Academy (4-1) and Total Futbol Academy (2-0) in pool play.
SBSC took down Pateadores Soccer Club by a score of 2-0 in the quarterfinals and handled Nido Aguila San Diego, 4-1, in the semifinals.
The team consists of Mohammed Abdul Nafeo, Dinmukhamed Anuarbek, Isaac Bakwira, Jacob Barsky, Sebastian Birchenall, Diego Cortez, John Duffy, Jackson Elliott, Nicholas Forry, Miguel Greenberg, Justin Herrera-Marquez, Josue Iventura Castro, Josue Lopez Gastelum, Marvin Lujano Ortiz, George Marin, Elias Meisel, Quinn Myers, Pietro Nascente Tessari, Geoffrey Inak Phillips, Brennan Van Wingerden and Ian Zampelli.
The team is coached by Johnny Whallon and Daniel Meisel.
