ASAP Cats will hold Basil’s Big Bash, the annual gala dedicated to raising funds for the welfare of the cats of Santa Barbara County, 5:30 p.m. Friday, June 13 at the Carousel House in Santa Barbara, at Chase Palm Park.
Starting in 2014, Basil’s Big Bash was created to raise funds for cats and kittens in need, and also to bring together the local community of feline lovers who share the similar goal of saving cats.
The 2024 event reflected on the decade of adoptions, lifesaving procedures, and care provided by ASAP.
“ASAP prides itself on fostering the relationship with every cat that has been encountered, continuing to provide education, welfare, and aid wherever possible,” the organization said.
“Whether it’s reuniting them with their family or returning them to their home in the community, ASAP continues to evolve in understanding how best to save every cat, and the Bash exists to bring together those individuals who share a similar outlook for the lives of cats,” ASAP said.
In addition to dinner and dancing, Basil’s Big Bash will feature a silent and live auction, offering everything from items of comfort, to experiences, to the Instant Wine Cellar.
Tickets are available by visiting ASAP’s website.
Those who can’t attend Basil’s Big Bash but still want to support ASAP might consider donating a bottle of wine to the Instant Wine Cellar, one of the event’s most popular live auction items.
To donate, drop off any $20+ bottle of wine at the ASAP Cats shelter and it will be included in the prize.
