More than $15,000 has been raised through a GoFundMe page supporting UCSB Women’s Club Ultimate Frisbee team as they get ready to compete at the 2025 D1 National Championships.

The club team won the Southwest Women’s D1 Regional Conference and will now travel to Washington state to compete for a national title. The GoFundMe page is supporting them with travel expenses.

“This is a huge accomplishment for us as only 20 teams across all of the United States get to compete at nationals,” according to a part of the fundraiser. “However, traveling all the way to Seattle from Santa Barbara is a long, expensive journey.

“We are raising funds to help pay for our travel expenses such as flights, hotels, rental cars. … It is important for us to try and keep costs as low as we can for our players in order to make playing the sport financially accessible for all.”
