In celebration of National Bike Month, the City of Santa Maria Rangers invite community members to join them for the second annual “Ride with a Ranger” community bike ride on Saturday, May 17 departing at 10 a.m. from Edwards Community Center, located at 809 Panther Drive.
This free, family-friendly event is part of CycleMAYnia, a series of bicycle-themed events organized by the Santa Barbara County Association of Governments (SBCAG) in recognition of National Bike Month.
Riders will enjoy a refreshing and scenic ride along the Santa Maria Multi-Purpose Levee Trail, concluding at Jim May Park, 809 Stanford Drive. This route is perfect for families, friends, and cycling enthusiasts of all skill levels.
- Meet-Up Time: 10 a.m.
- Starting Location: Edwards Community Center, 809 Panther Drive.
- Ending Location: Jim May Park, 809 Stanford Drive.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own bicycles and helmets. While helmets are mandatory for riders under 18 years of age, they are highly encouraged for all participants. To promote safety, City Rangers will distribute free bike helmets while supplies last.
The ride supports the City of Santa Maria’s vision for a healthier and more connected community by promoting safe, active, opportunities to recreate.
