The Dos Pueblos boys lacrosse team turned in the greatest season in program history this spring, including a dominant run through the Channel League and a CIF-SS Division 2 Runner-Up finish.
The Chargers had standouts all over the field to fuel their run, and five of them pulled in All CIF-SS honors. Meanwhile, Santa Barbara High collected one All CIF-SS nod after a strong season of its own.
Dos Pueblos
The Chargers went undefeated in the regular season and reached the CIF-SS Division 2 Finals, led by a strong 18-member senior class. All five of the team’s All-CIF honorees were a part of that senior class.
Faceoff specialist Cal Denier was the spark plug for Dos Pueblos on his way to an All-CIF spot, winning 270 faceoffs at a 79.6% clip for the fifth-best rate in California.
Attacker Jack Finneran handled the bulk of the offensive load, pouring in 69 goals and 48 assists to break the Channel League record for points in a season.
Meanwhile, fellow attacker Orion Prewarski shined on the offensive end as well with 58 goals and 54 assists to collect an All-CIF honor.
Midfielder Gus Miller did a little bit of everything for the Chargers to garner an All-CIF selection, totaling 51 points and earning 79 ground balls.
Defender Andrew Forsland led the defensive charge and rounded out the team’s All-CIF honorees, consistently marking up the best attacker on the opposing side.
Santa Barbara High
The Dons turned in a solid year this spring, going 5-3 in Channel League play and winning their opening round game in the CIF-SS Division 3 playoffs.
Senior attacker Jasper Larrson filled up the stat sheet on a nightly basis for Santa Barbara High en route to a spot on the All CIF-SS Division 3 team.
