Bishop Diego football kicked off the summer on a high note on Saturday at the Chaminade 7v7 tournament.

The Cardinals turned in a strong day in the non-contact action, taking down host Chaminade in the quarterfinals before falling by one point in the semis.

The Bishop Diego lineman won the lineman tournament, as they did not compete in the 7v7 action.

The group took first place after stellar performances in the sled push, medicine ball throw, bench press and tug-of-war.
