A semi truck and trailer fire on southbound Highway 101 in Carpinteria late Wednesday night caused lane closures into morning commute times.
The Carpinteria-Summerland Fire Protection District and California Highway Patrol responded to the blaze near the Bailard Avenue exit at about 11:50 p.m.
The firefighting and clean-up effort lasted hours overnight.
Santa Barbara CHP officials said all lanes were open as of noon Thursday.

A CHP incident log indicated the semi was “completely burnt.” No injuries were reported.
