Lompoc Valley Chamber Invites Community to Celebrate Youth Mural Dedication at Lompoc High School

The Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Future for Lompoc Youth (FLY), invites the community to the Dedication and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for FLY’s Mural Project 2025, 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14 at Lompoc High School.

The public art project, sponsored by FLY, brought together youth from across the Lompoc Unified School District under the creative direction of local artist Vantsa.

Over the course of five weeks, students collaborated to design and paint a mural that captures the energy, voice, and collective pride of Lompoc’s next generation, the chamber said.

“This is more than art. It’s voice, vision and legacy — created by youth, for generations to come,” said Chuck Madson, executive director of Future for Lompoc Youth.

The ceremony will feature remarks from student artists, community leaders, and project organizers, followed by the ribbon cutting hosted by the Lompoc Valley Chamber.

This event is free to attend.
