Ice in Paradise is thrilled to welcome the return of fall hockey to the rink, kicking off an exciting season of fast-paced action featuring local favorites and college competition alike.
The Santa Barbara Royals high school teams are already heating up the ice with early September matchups.
The Junior Varsity team faced off against the Kern County Knights White on September 6, while the Varsity squad hosted the Burbank Cougars on September 13. Fans can catch more of the Royals’ thrilling home games throughout October:

- JV vs. Burbank Cougars – October 11 at 3:45 PM
- Varsity vs. Burbank Cougars – October 11 at 5:30 PM
- Varsity vs. West Ranch Wildcats – October 18 at 6:00 PM
Meanwhile, collegiate hockey returns with the UCSB Gauchos charging into the 2025–26 season with an exciting lineup of games on home ice:
- vs. Long Beach State – October 3 at 7:15 PM
- vs. UCLA – October 5 at 3:45 PM
- vs. UC Irvine – October 11 at 7:30 PM
- vs. CSU Fullerton (CSUF) – October 18 at 8:00 PM
