Three film festival are coming to the Goleta area this fall: the 2025 NatureTrack Film Festival (NTFF); Ceylon International Film Festival (CEYIFF); and the inaugural Wild and Free Film Festival (WAFFF).
The 2025 NatureTrack Film Festival, Oct. 9-10, showcases world-class films that celebrate nature and outdoor adventure.
The Opening Night Celebration for Nature Track’s 15th anniversary is 5:30-10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9 at the Riviera Courtyard & Theater, 2044 Alameda Padre Serra, Santa Barbara.
The Film Festival is Friday, Oct. 10 at Camino Real Cinemas, 7040 Marketplace Drive, Goleta, with student screenings in the morning; workshops; 20-plus nature films in the afternoon and evening; and a Post-Festival Social at 9:30 p.m.
NTFF celebrates nature and outdoor adventure through film, featuring works from national and international filmmakers.

The Ceylon International Film Festival is Oct. 13-17 at Direct Relief Hatch Hall, 6100 Wallace Becknell Road. CEYIFF celebrates the world of South Asian cinema while embracing the creativity of independent filmmakers from around the globe.
The festival is dedicated to the art of storytelling, bringing meaningful films to communities and connecting filmmakers with diverse audiences.
CEYIFF is the first-ever Sri Lankan Film Festival Organized outside of Sri Lanka and is dedicated to presenting South Asian and International Independent films to cinema lovers.

The Wild and Free Film Festival (WAFFF), Nov. 14-16 at Camino Real Cinemas, features some 25 new and original films and hosts industry panels, filmmaker discussions, and special appearances by prominent figures.
The independent WAFFF spotlights adventurous, diverse, and environmentally conscious storytelling from around the world. WAFFF aims to become a cultural destination event, inspiring audiences through thought-provoking films and community experiences.
The official launch party is Saturday, Oct. 18 at Elings Park in Santa Barbara with an outdoor screening of “The Goonies.”
