San Marcos boys water polo fell to a strong Huntington Beach squad by a score of 15-12 on Saturday in Huntington.

The Royals got out to a strong start on the road, holding a slim 3-2 lead after one quarter to play.

However, the Oilers bounced back with a strong second quarter to jump in front by a score of 7-6 heading into halftime.

Huntington Beach continued to roll in the third, outscoring San Marcos 7-1 in the quarter to pull away and eventually secure the 15-12 win.

The Royals will be on the road against Rio Mesa on Tuesday in Oxnard.
