The West Coast team for SpaceX completed the week’s trifecta Saturday morning with another Falcon 9 launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base. 

The rocket blasted off at 7:20 a.m. from Space Launch Complex-4 on South Base, with the first-stage booster successfully landing on the droneship minutes afterward.

SpaceX confirmed the 28 Starlink satellites had separated from the rocket as planned.

Vandenberg launched the week with a Falcon 9 rocket liftoff Sunday, followed by another on Wednesday. 

The trio of missions delivered 84 Starlink satellites to space.

During the summer SpaceX announced plans to launch more than 400 additional satellites to orbit before the end of 2025 so the Starlink constellation can improve internet service in Alaska and other polar regions where land-based access isn’t available or reliable.

SpaceX is hoping to squeeze in two more missions from Vandenberg before the end of October.

The next liftoff could occur as soon as Monday, with the departure aiming for between 2:12 and 6:12 p.m., providing a short turnaround time between missions for the team.

Vandenberg’s final SpaceX launch of October will target Thursday afternoon. 

Assorted factors including unfavorable weather and technical troubles can delay launch plans.
