The Santa Maria Philharmonic will present its annual holiday favorite Baroque Season Concert, 7:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at the First United Methodist Church in Santa Maria.

The program will feature Respighi’s “Ancient Airs and Dances Suite No. 3,” a collection of elegant courtly dances; and Lauridsen’s “O Magnum Mysterium,” a contemporary sacred work that offers a reflective meditation on the Nativity.

The heart of the program, curated by Maestro Michael Nowak, will be Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons,” showcasing the talents of violin soloist Brynn Albanese.

The work takes listeners on a journey through the seasons, bringing to life musical depictions of changing weather, playful animals, and the natural phenomena that mark each time of year.

Patrons are invited to a complimentary pre-concert lecture at 6:50 p.m., providing insights into the evening’s musical selections.

As always, all children under the age of 18 can attend for free with the purchase of an adult ticket by entering the code KidsFree at checkout.
