Award-winning, California-based blues and rock sensation Tommy Castro, along with his band The Painkillers, will perform live, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17 at Carrillo Recreation Center, 100 E. Carrillo St., Santa Barbara,
“Castro is the guitar slinging, soul-singing leader of the telepathically tight and wildly raucous Tommy Castro & The Painkillers,” organizers said.
“With his latest Alligator Records album ‘Closer To The Bone,’ Castro — the four-time Blues Music Award-winner for B.B. King Entertainer Of The Year — delivers what he calls, ‘a record I’ve always wanted to make,’” organizers said
Recently, Castro won Blues Blast magazine’s 2025 Contemporary Blues Album Of The Year Award for “Closer To The Bone.” He also won the 2025 Blue Music Award for Blues Rock Artist.
