Carpinteria High girls soccer rolled to a 7-0 Citrus Coast League rout of Hueneme on Friday night in Carpinteria.

The Warriors got it going early as Kaydance Gardner collected a loose ball in the second minute and slotted a shot into the back of the net for a 1-0 lead.

They stayed aggressive throughout the opening half as Callie Labistour and Yoselyn Lara each scored to take a 3-0 lead into halftime.

Carpinteria started the second half as it did the first, scoring in the opening minute as Gardner found Lara for her second goal of the night and a 4-0 advantage.

Caroline Cooney then took over with back-to-back goals before Lara capped off her strong night by completing the hat trick in the 73rd minute.

“The forward line finished with the goals but all the success tonight was due to the tireless work from the midfield distribution and defending,” Carpinteria High head coach Freddy Martinez said.

“Once again, Vickly Martinez and Evelyn Lara had a stellar night, and goalkeepers Charlotte Cooney (first half) and Natalia Andrade (second half) commanded the backline to gain another shutout.”

The Warriors (7-0-1, 3-0 Citrus Coast) will be back in action on Wednesday, Jan. 7 against Channel Islands.
