A collaborative partnership between the city of Santa Maria and the Santa Maria Philharmonic Society has produced a video of a free public concert of Delightful Duets at the Public Library’s Shepard Hall.
A recent upgrade to the audio-visual system in Shepard Hall enabled the recording of the Philharmonic Society’s concert featuring pianist Ann Lucas and cellist Hilary Clark performing works by Antonin Dvorak, Franz Schubert, and Johannes Brahms.
The full concert is available on Santa Maria’s YouTube channel here.
The concert also runs regularly on the city’s Comcast Cable Education Channel 24, and on Public Channel 25 as part of the Philharmonic Society’s public access concert program. Both channels can be livestreamed anytime at cityofsantamaria.org/tv.
The City Manager’s Office and Public Library worked together to upgrade to the audio-visual system in Shepard Hall.
The library’s partnership with the Philharmonic Society provides free concerts of classical music twice a year, and Communications Division staff in the City Manager’s Office saw the free concert as a chance to test the new system, the city said.
“The Communications Division and Public Library hope to make the Shepard Hall space and audio-visual system available to more groups and organizations to diversify community programming,” the city said.
