The Friday Night Lights shined bright once again this fall, with the Santa Barbara area high school football teams fielding strong teams made up of impressive student-athletes.
From the Cardinals to the Dons, 30 football players from six different schools were named to Noozhawk’s 2025 All-South Coast Football Team. The team was made by Sports Editor Diego Sandoval.
Offensive Backs
Tua Rojas, Bishop Diego: At the helm of an offense that averaged over 30 points per game against some of the top defenses in the state. 2,235 pass yards, 25 pass TD, 5 rush TD. All-Marmonte League First Team.

Gabe Villa, Bishop Diego: A threat in the ground game and the passing attack for the potent Cardinal offense, while making an impact defensively. 855 rush yards, 346 receiving yards, 10 total TD. All-Marmonte League First Team.
Drew Filippini, Carpinteria: A do-it-all athlete who led the Warriors in offensive production and tackling on the defensive end. 508 total yards, 9 total TD, 69 tackles. All-Citrus Coast League First Team.
Callan Lee, Dos Pueblos: A consistent bright spot on a Charger team that dealt with injuries on both sides of the ball. 438 rush yards, 3 TD. All-Tri-County League First Team.
Cole Dominguez, San Marcos: Leading rusher in a run-heavy offense and leading tackler for a solid Royal defense. 871 rush yards, 13 TD, 68 tackles. All-Tri-County League First Team.
Brody Green, San Marcos: The second half of a San Marcos rushing attack that got better as the season wore on. 459 rush yards, 4 TD. All-Tri-County League First Team.
Monty Lopez, Santa Barbara: Electric runner out of the backfield on another run-heavy team while contributing in the secondary. 668 rushing yards, 395 receiving yards, 11 total TD. All-Conejo Coast League First Team.
Wideouts

John Michael Flint, Bishop Diego: A big-play threat down the field with the ability to outrun and outjump defensive backs. 34 catches, 643 yards, 11 TD. Marmonte League Co-Wide Receiver of the Year.
Chase Meyer, Cate: The top offensive weapon on a Rams team that reached the CIF-SS Div. 2 8-man Championship. All-Tri-Valley League First Team.
Micah Barnhart, Dos Pueblos: An outside playmaker with electric speed who broke several long plays this season. 35 catches, 459 yards, 6 TD. All-Tri-County League First Team.
Isaac Murillo, San Marcos: The leading receiver on a San Marcos squad that made the playoffs for the second straight season. 31 catches, 275 yards, 3 TD. All-Tri-County League First Team.
Nate Meister, Santa Barbara: A sophomore sensation who gave Dons fans plenty to look forward to for the next two years. 30 catches, 458 total yards, 5 total TD. All-Conejo Coast League Second Team.
Offensive Linemen

Sui Faiualama, Bishop Diego: Dominated the trenches for a Bishop Diego offense built on the run with a strong complementary passing game. Marmonte League Co-Offensive Lineman of the Year.
Terrence Tasila, Bishop Diego: Another big body for the Cardinals, who frequently paved the way for runners behind him. All-Marmonte League First Team.
Eder Soriano, Dos Pueblos: The captain of the Charger offensive line at the center position, and an overall team captain who provided senior leadership. All-Tri-County League First Team.
Malachi Johnston, Santa Barbara: Capped off a stellar high school career with another standout season, dominating opposing defensive and offensive lines all year. Conejo Coast League Offensive Lineman of the Year.
Defensive Linemen

Kaarlo Malik-Anderson, Dos Pueblos: A true gamebreaker who found himself in the backfield often on the defensive side of the ball for the Chargers. 36 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 2 sacks. Tri-County League Co-Defensive Lineman of the Year.
Iyad Ahmad-Reda, Dos Pueblos: The other half of the Charger edge-rushing duo who made an impact defending the run and getting to the quarterback. 41 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 4 sacks. All-Tri-County League First Team.
Max Campbell, San Marcos: A force off the edge for a San Marcos defense that made it tough for opposing teams to run the ball. 40 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 5 sacks. All-Tri-County League First Team.
Logan Hale, San Marcos: A sophomore who burst onto the scene this year, causing plenty of issues for opposing offenses. 31 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack. All-Tri-County League First Team.
Lucas Blessing, Santa Barbara: A reliable presence off the edge for the Dons’ defensive line unit. 21 tackles, 3 sacks, 7 tackles for loss. All-Conejo Coast League First Team.

Sam Boeddeker, Bishop Diego: A tackling machine who flew all around the field for the Bishop Diego defense. 93 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 6 sacks. All-Marmonte League First Team.
Jonahs Ortiz, San Marcos: A consistent force in the middle of the San Marcos defense all season. 55 tackles, 7 tackles for loss. All-Tri-County League First Team.
Dominic Christman, San Marcos: The third member of a standout linebacking trio that racked up the tackles all year long. 51 tackles, 2 tackles for loss. All-Tri-County League First Team.
Henry Crafton, Santa Barbara: The leading tackler for the Dons’ defense, who frequently found himself in the opposition’s backfield. 53 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks. All-Conejo Coast League First Team.
Secondary

Sam Crawford, Bishop Diego: A lockdown defensive back with a knack for pulling down interceptions. 66 tackles, 5 INT, 4 pass deflections. Marmonte League Co-Defensive Back of the Year.
Remi Boykin, Bishop Diego: A complementary corner to Crawford, who immediately made an impact in his first year as a Cardinal. 20 tackles, 3 INT, 2 pass deflections. All-Marmonte League First Team.
Andrew Cook, Dos Pueblos: A hard-hitting safety who always seemed to be near the ball in the secondary. 61 tackles, 5 tackles for loss. All-Tri-County League First Team.
Logan Patterson Deakyne, San Marcos: The top corner for the Royals, who used his speed to shut down big plays from opposing receivers. 26 tackles, 2 INT. All-Tri-County League First Team.
