The Santa Maria Public Library offers a variety of monthly book clubs for adults that meet in the library’s Learning Loft, 421 South McClelland St.

Patrons interested in participating in the book clubs may register by visiting the library’s online events calendar, or by calling 805-925-0994 ext. 8562.

Book clubs include light refreshments and lively discussion.

• Junk Journal Book Club will meet at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10 to discuss “The Corruption of Hollis Brown” by K. Ancrum and continue crafting junk journals.
• For fans of contemporary romance fiction, the Flirty Fiction Book Club will discuss “The Husbands” by Holly Gramazio; 5:15 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19. 
• The Valley Reads will explore “The Picture of Dorian Gray” by Oscar Wilde; 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24.
