Shrunken Heads Production Company, a student-run organization, with support from the UC Santa Barbara Department of Music, will present “Footloose: The Musical,” Feb. 6-8 at Lotte Lehmann Concert Hall with a Prom-Themed Opening Night Gala.
Show times are 7 p.m. Feb. 6; noon and 7 p.m. Feb. 7; and noon Feb. 8.
Following the premiere performance on Friday, audiences are invited to stay for a Prom-Themed Gala featuring music, curated “Footloose”-inspired refreshments, and a celebration with the cast and creative team in the Lotte Lehmann courtyard at UCSB.

Based on the iconic 1984 film, “Footloose: The Musical” tells the story of Ren McCormack, a teenager from Chicago who moves to a small town where music and dancing are banned.
Through determination, rebellion and the power of music, Ren challenges tradition and inspires a community to rediscover joy, freedom and self-expression.
The production features dance numbers and hit songs, including the title track “Footloose,” performed by UCSB student musicians.
