
Phyllis Eugenia MacKenzie, 90, of Greensboro, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Jan. 9, 2026. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on Sept. 30, 1935.
Phyllis was a retired United States Postal Service mail carrier and served as a union representative for postal carriers.
She was passionate about family genealogy, traveling, and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and reading. She cherished her years in Santa Barbara, which she considered her beloved adopted home.
Above all else, family was the most important thing in her life, and she treasured her children and grandchildren deeply.
She was preceded in death by her husband William MacKenzie.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter Deborah Fletcher of California; son William Fletcher (Tammy) of North Carolina; grandchildren Jonathan Fletcher (Brittney), Christina Bixby (Matthew), and Heather Barrett (Mitch); and great-grandchildren Aubrey, Sterling, Sophia and Willow.
A private memorial service will be held for family.
