Santa Barbara County could see light on-and-off rain showers this week as temperatures begin to cool down, according to the National Weather Service.
Light rain is possible Wednesday through Friday, according to the NWS forecast for the week.
The Santa Barbara area has a 20% chance of rain before 10 p.m. on Wednesday night, a 30% chance of rain during the day on Thursday, and a 20% chance of rain before 10 p.m. Thursday night.
The NWS is expecting 0.25 inches of rain or less, with possible peak rates of 0.10 inch per hour. There is a 5-10% chance of thunderstorms.

The region will also see a cool down after a warm weekend.
Daily high temperatures will be in the mid-60s on Wednesday, low-60s on Thursday and Friday, and mid-60s again on Saturday, the NWS said.
Patchy fog is expected Tuesday night, Wednesday morning and Friday night.
A Freedom Warming Center will open in Santa Barbara at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1500 State St., on Thursday, 6 p.m. – 6 a.m.
