One person was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital early Thursday morning with stabbing injuries to the abdomen, police said.
Santa Barbara Police Department officers responded to a report of a stabbing on the first block of West Ortega Street around 12:45 a.m.
They found a victim with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
“Preliminary information suggests this attack was an isolated incident and there is no indication of an on-going threat to the public,” police said Thursday.
Police searched the area but did not locate a suspect. Anyone with information can contact the police department at 805.897.8900.
