One person was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital early Thursday morning with stabbing injuries to the abdomen, police said. 

Santa Barbara Police Department officers responded to a report of a stabbing on the first block of West Ortega Street around 12:45 a.m.

They found a victim with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The victim’s name and details on their condition were not available.

“Preliminary information suggests this attack was an isolated incident, and there is no indication of an on-going threat to the public,” police said Thursday. 

Police searched the area but did not locate a suspect. Anyone with information can contact the Police Department at 805.897.8900.
