A Santa Barbara man was arrested on felony charges Wednesday night for allegedly using his vehicle to strike someone following an argument, according to the Santa Barbara Police Department.
Isaiah Angel Munoz, 22, was taken into custody at about 6 p.m. at a gas station parking lot on the 1000 block of Coast Village Road, police said.
His arrest stemmed from an incident Monday night in a parking lot on the 200 block of North Milpas Street, where he allegedly intentionally hit someone with his vehicle.
The victim in that incident sustained minor injuries but declined medical attention, police said.
After Munoz’s arrest, a search of his vehicle turned up an AR-15-style “ghost gun” pistol, a loaded 100-round magazine inserted into the firearm, three additional high-capacity magazines containing about 150 rounds of ammunition, a ballistic bulletproof vest, and a large quantity of cocaine, police said.
Munoz is a person prohibited from possessing firearms, police said.
He was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, and numerous narcotics and weapons charges.
He remained in custody on Thursday, with bail set at $530,000.
