The Santa Barbara Soccer Club Boys 2018 White team dominated its way to the Cal South State Cup championship last weekend in Lancaster.

While competing against some of the best teams in the state, SBSC went 6-0 across two weekends of play and scored 41 goals along the way.

The championship victory was capped off with a 6-1 win in the title matchup on Sunday.

“I’m very proud of the group that faced a tough team in the semifinals but came through with a 3-2 win to get to the finals,” SBSC coach Willie Sims said. “In the Championship game, we were down 0-1, and the boys responded positively by believing in themselves, and they fought back to score six goals to clinch the victory.

“This is a well-deserved title, and I look forward to continuing to see the boys grow as a team as well as individual players.”

The team members are Rivaldo Avalos Rodriguez, Evan Carter, Mason Cornejo, Daniel Cowing, Luca Gianola, Thiago Martinez, Quinn Penton, Joshua Robison, Teo Sims, and Leon Unander. The team is coached by Willie Sims.
