Cottage Health has announced the appointment of Steven Weintraub to its Board of Directors.
A Certified Financial Planner with some 40 years of experience in financial planning and investment management, Weintraub brings industry knowledge and governance background to the board.
Weintraub is a partner in the Santa Barbara office of Cerity Partners, an independent wealth management and financial advisory firm. He provides financial advice and oversight, with a focus on integrated financial planning and long-term wealth strategies.
Weintraub holds a bachelor of science in business administration from Arizona State University. He earned his MS in financial planning from San Diego State University, where he has instructed finance students as an adjunct professor.
Weintraub has served in key roles for several nonprofit organizations, including as board president of both the Santa Barbara Estate Planning Council and the Hope School District.
He has chaired investment committees for the Santa Barbara Channel Islands YMCAs and the nonprofit Direct Relief, where he was a board member for nine years.
Members of the Cottage Health Board of Directors serve without compensation, guiding the not-for-profit organization in its mission to provide superior health care and improve the health of the communities it serves, Cottage Health said.
