San Marcos boys golf won its second straight match with Oaks Christian on Wednesday at Sandpiper Golf Club.
The Royals ended the day with a team score of 377, while Oaks Christian shot a combined 386 on the par-72 course.
San Marcos’ Axl Wedhammar earned co-medalist honors alongside Oaks Christian’s Max Emberson as they each shot even par.
Wedhammar was joined by teammates Andy Keenan (74), Nate Duva (74), Austin Downing (76) and Adam Kabaretti (81).
The Royals (2-0) will compete in a four-way match with Dos Pueblos, Harvard Westlake and St. Francis on Monday.
Dos Pueblos 418, Morro Bay 434
The Chargers earned a non-league win over Morro Bay in their first full team competition on Wednesday at Morro Bay Golf Course, a par 71.
Colt Roberts was the top Dos Pueblos golfer with his score of 79, and he was followed by Parker Hickman (83), Coulter Jay (83), Connor Nightingale (84), Orlando Ramirez-Gijon (89) and Ollie Reynolds (89).
“I was very proud of the way my team performed with many having their varsity debuts,” Dos Pueblos head coach Kevin Ahlers said. “I was pleased by the way my team played on the very tricky greens and dealt with the poor visibility.”
The Chargers (1-0) will take on Cabrillo on Thursday.
