From the pitch to the pool to the hardwood, Carpinteria High fielded standout athletes all over campus during the winter sports season.

As a result, plenty of Warrior student-athletes pulled in All-Citrus Coast League honors.

Girls Soccer

The Carpinteria High girls soccer team put together a historic season, winning the first Citrus Coast League title in program history. Warrior head coach Alfredo Martinez was rewarded as the CCL Coach of the Year.

Meanwhile, the senior duo of Vivian Huskins and Charlotte Cooney anchored a stellar Carpinteria High defense en route to being named the CCL Defensive MVP and Goalie of the Year, respectively.

Senior midfielder Evelyn Lara, junior defender Kaydance Gardner and freshman forward Caroline Cooney helped hold down each third of the field en route to All-League First Team honors.

Meanwhile, junior midfielder Vicki Martinez, sophomore midfielder Callie Labistour , sophomore defender Michelle Cornejo and sophomore defender Emerson Hill gave Carpinteria fans plenty to look forward to next season with All-League Second Team campaigns.

Senior forward Logan Labistour, senior defender Lacey Zimmerman and freshman forward Yoselyn Lara all played key roles as well and were named All-League Honorable Mentions.

Boys Soccer

The Warrior boys soccer team found some success this season as well, going 8-3-1 in Citrus Coast League play.

Senior midfielder Carlos Garcia and sophomore forward Eric Carbajal showcased the present and the future of the program all season and were named to the All-League First Team.

The midfield pairing of senior Rooney Torres and junior Cesar Vega did a little bit of everything for Carpinteria en route to their All-League Second Team selections.

Senior goalkeeper Drew Filipinni, senior forward Gerardo Mejia and junior defender Cesar Jaime rounded out the team’s awardees as All-League Honorable Mentions.

Girls Water Polo

Carpinteria High dominated in the pool this winter, cruising to an 8-0 league record and a Citrus Coast League championship of its own. The program has plenty to look forward to as well, as every All-League honoree will return next season.

Junior Hazel Dugre was joined by the sophomore trio of Gwen Postma, Holliday Smith and Madison Lee on the All-Citrus Coast League First Team.

Meanwhile, junior Penny Ornelas and sophomore Lucia Smith represented the Warriors on the All-League Second Team.

The junior trio of Lucy Moore, Mina Handall and Kathryn Caskey made their impacts felt all season long and were rewarded as All-League Honorable Mentions.

Girls Basketball

The Warrior girls basketball team turned in a solid season of their own, going 6-4 in league play and reaching the CIF-SS D6 playoffs.

The senior duo of guard Charlotte Cooney and forward Jamaica Cook rounded out their high school careers in style and were named to the All-League First Team.

Meanwhile, junior guard Leona McClellan and freshman guard Amalia Castaneda turned in strong seasons on both ends of the court to earn All-League Second Team nods.

Senior forward Rihanna Arreola and sophomore forward Gia Sharma picked up All-League Honorable Mention selections for the Warriors.

Boys Basketball

Junior guard Chris Reed was a bright spot for the Warrior boys basketball team this winter, earning the team’s lone spot on the All-Citrus Coast League First Team.

Senior guard Sam Medel and senior forward Micah Smith capped off their Carpinteria High careers as an All-League Second Team and All-League Honorable Mention selection, respectively.
