On March 28, Lompoc residents are invited to join Lompoc Indivisible in a nationwide day of nonviolent protest at the third No Kings National Day of Non-Violent Action, noon-2 p.m.
The local event will be on the sidewalks at the corners of North H Street and Central Avenue. There are over 2,000 events nationwide.
“All are welcome to joyfully stand with our community in a fun, safe afternoon of chanting, singing, standing on the sidewalks with our signs, costumes and general good will for our community,” organizers said.
“Our community is intentionally collaborating to push back against President Trump’s violent, authoritarian actions,” said Sam Taylor, event organizer. “We’re bringing together local residents from all walks of life who share a simple message: We don’t do dictators or kings in America.”
“We are committed to non-violence in all protests and activities in accordance with the principles and practices of the national Indivisible organization,” organizers said.
