Dos Pueblos girls beach volleyball suffered a 5-0 sweep at the hands of Ventura High on Monday in Goleta.
The Cougars had control of the matchup, winning four of the five showdowns in straight sets.
The Charger No. 3 duo of Faith Harrison and Kyra Sample put up the best fight of the day, taking their opponents to three sets before falling, 21-19, 16-21, 7-15.
Foothill Tech 4, Laguna Blanca 1
The Owls battled to a loss to Foothill Tech on Monday in Santa Barbara.
The Laguna Blanca No. 1 pairing of Maritt Blabey and Lauren Kenny picked up the team’s lone win, outlasting their opponents in the third set for a 15-12 win.
“Lauren kept them on their toes with her big serving and swings, while Maritt was tactical with her placement,” Laguna Blanca coach Parker Reich said.
