San Marcos swim cruised to its third straight Channel League dual meet sweep on Tuesday, taking down Pacifica in Oxnard.

The Royals’ girls team won by a score of 104-51, while the boys team dominated its way to an 89-17 win.

On the girls side, Sophia Hall and Bethany King led the charge as double individual event winners. Hall won the 50 freestyle at 24.94 seconds and the 100 fly at 58.90 seconds, while King placed first in the 100 breaststroke at 1:17.85 and in the 500 freestyle at 5:46.25.

Kalista Hall also had a strong showing, taking first place in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:06.65. Nya Cable rounded out the standout performers with a first-place showing in the 200 IM at 2:27.67.

“[Sophia Hall and King] are incredible young girls in and out of the water,” San Marcos head coach Chuckie Roth said. “Freshman Nya Cable’s coachability and desire to improve has been fun to be a part of. She is improving a lot and will make a huge impact at SMHS over her four year career.”

As for the boys, Cole Racich touched first in the 50 freestyle (23.37) and 100 freestyle (51.50), and Milo Kostechko came out on top in the 200 freestyle (2:08.33) and 500 freestyle (5:37.77).

Wyatt Clark made his impact felt for the Royals as well, winning the 200 IM with a mark of 2:30.27.

“We are excited about the potential of this group and it is fun to watch them improve,” Roth said.

San Marcos (3-0) will host Santa Barbara High next Tuesday.
