The UC Santa Barbara Police Department lifted an evacuation of the university’s Henley Hall Thursday afternoon.
The all-clear notice was given nearly two hours after police asked those on campus to avoid Henley Hall, University Plaza, and Parking Lots 11 and 12 due to a criminal threats case investigation.
“UCPD is actively investigating a criminal threats case on campus. As a precaution, UCPD has officers on site at Henley Hall. UCPD is organizing an evacuation of Henley Hall,” campus officials said in the original alert, which went out at 3:52 p.m.
In the final alert sent out at 5:31 p.m., campus officials said: “Regarding the threats case at Henley Hall, UCPD has lifted the request to avoid the area. The situation is clear. Resume normal activity.”
Additional information was not immediately available.
A UCSB spokesperson said there is no additional information available at this time.
