San Marcos baseball’s Mason Crang and Santa Barbara High track & field’s Elina Stump put together strong performances en route to the Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table Athlete of the Week honors.

The pairing will be honored at next Monday’s SBART Press Luncheon at Harry’s Plaza Cafe, as there was no luncheon this Monday due to Spring Break.
Crang contributed with his bat and his arm to help lead his Royals to a rivalry sweep of Dos Pueblos last week to move into sole possession of first place in the Channel League
The senior went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored in the first 6-5 win over the Chargers, and followed that up with a complete game in which he allowed one earned run and struck out seven to power SM to a 6-3 victory.
Meanwhile, Stump dominated a Channel League meet with Oxnard before finding success over the weekend at the Simi Valley Invitational.
In the league meet with Oxnard, she took first place in the 100 hurdles, long jump and 4×400 relay, while earning second place in the 200 meter. At the Simi Invite, she came in second in the 100 hurdles, long jump and triple jump before finishing in third with a lifetime best in the 300 hurdles.
The boys honorable mentions were Hayes Costner (SB Volleyball), Maddox Denver (SB Volleyball), Ben Wojogbe (DP Volleyball), Matteo Burdick (SM Volleyball), TJ Deakyne (SM Track & Field), Vonn Forrest (SB Lacrosse) and Flynn Chenoweth (SB Lacrosse).
