Santa Maria invites community members to participate in a public hearing regarding the proposed allocations and contingencies for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding for Fiscal Year 2026-27 and the review of the Fiscal Year 2026-27 Drafted Action Plan.
The hearing, held both in person and virtually, will be held during the Tuesday, April 7 City Council meeting, which begins at 5:30 p.m.
The agenda will be posted at least 72 hours before the meeting and will include instructions on how to participate. It can be viewed at www.cityofsantamaria.org/meetings.
The hearing is part of the annual CDBG funding process, which helps guide city staff on how federal funds should be invested to support:
- Community services
- Housing stability
- Public facility improvements
- Programs that assist vulnerable residents
As part of the city’s Citizen Participation Plan,”= the public review and comment period will run March 27-April 26, 2026.
