Santa Barbara County Fire Department Capt. Mike Gray said crews are “currently working to establish access to the patient.”

The rescue, which began at around 12:07 p.m., was ongoing as of 1 p.m.

Emergency radio traffic indicated the patient was a bicyclist with a possibly injured hip.

Gray said further information will be released later.
