The city of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department has announces Youth Summer Camps 2026 with registration opening Friday, May 1. City camps are offered June through August for youth ages 4-14.

Financial assistance is available and applications may be picked up at the department office, 615 S. McClelland, or on the city website under Recreation and Parks.
 
“Youth Summer Camps provide safe, structured, and engaging programs throughout the community, including activities focused on aquatics, outdoor exploration, travel experiences, STEM learning, and creative play,” the city said.

Camp opportunities include the following:

June:
Splash Camp: June 22-26, 8 a.m.-noon, for ages 7-12.

July:
Los Flores Ranch Camp: July 7-9, 8 a.m.-noon, for ages 7-13.
Camp Buena Vista: July 13-17, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., for ages 4-12.
Jr. Lifeguard Camp: July 13-17, 9 a.m.-noon, for ages 11-14.
Youth Summer Fun Camp: July 20-24, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., for ages 6-13.
Trips & Travel Camp: July 27-30, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., for ages 8-13.

August:
Splash Camp: Aug. 3-7, 8 a.m.-noon, for ages 7-12.
STARBASE Camp: Aug. 3-6, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Ages 6-13.

Pre-registration is required and may be completed on the Recreation and Parks Department website.
