The Cate duo of James He and Kenny Wang captured the Tri-Valley League Boys Tennis Doubles championship on Monday in Carpinteria.

He and Wang shook off a slow start and took down top-seeded Greg Davis and Dylan Files of Foothill Tech in the title matchup, 1-6, 6-3, 6-3.

In the singles championship, St. Bonaventure’s Drew Railey earned the victory over Kakeru Hirofuji of Cate, 7-5, 6-1.

Meanwhile, Cate’s Kaden Greene and Kendrick Suen came out on top in the third-place matchup against Laguna Blanca’s Jaden Yanez and Sterling Fisher, 6-1, 4-6, 6-2.

The Rams will return to team play when they host Oak Park on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
