Dos Pueblos boys tennis kicked off the CIF-SS Div. 4 playoffs with a 15-3 win over Chino Hills on Thursday in Goleta.

The Chargers will remain at home and host St. Francis for a second-round matchup on Friday at 3 p.m.

Dos Pueblos dominated singles play, sweeping all nine of the available points while also earning six doubles victories.

Ciaran Tober-Bridges led the way in singles with a perfect 3-0 day without dropping a single game. Evan Harwin and Neil Sharangpani each went 3-0 as well, with Harwin dropping three games and Sharangpani falling in just six.

In doubles, Massey Scott/Brendan Gordon rattled off three straight wins while Luca Ucer/Ryan Tanner went 2-1 and Ryland Montgomery/Arman Entzari tallied one win.

“The doubles guys really had to dig deep after a challenging second round to close out the third,” Dos Pueblos head coach Alan Richter said. “Ryland and Arman’s win was all about courage and belief in each other. I can’t say enough about our singles guys. They get on the court week after week and go to work.”
